TESTIMONIALS

Rebecca- Fibromyalgia

Having suffered with fibromyalgia and lots of aches and pains I'm always a little wary of new Therapists breaking me. I found Kelly through a Facebook forum and she sorted out my runners legs. I came back today due to chronic back ache and a ton of tension. I floated out the door. Kelly is really intuitive and finds all the knots and uses different techniques to ease them out. Highly recommended and I've seen a LOT of therapists so I know how to spot a good one

Mike- Sciatic pain

For the last 30 months I have seen my GP, 2 private specialists, one NHS specialist, had several MRI scans and seen a chiropractor and an osteopath - all in an effort to resolve my crippling sciatica pain. If you don't know, sciatica gives you pain in the back of your legs and in your bum. It varies between a dull ache and excruciating pain. It limited my ability to walk to less than a mile on a good day. Serious painkillers seemed to have little effect.

Despite several injections into my back, numerous chiropractic and osteopath sessions, nothing resolved my pain. A friend in EA Pilates suggested that I should get a personal trainer to help who in turn recommended I see sports therapist, Joe Lickorish, to complement what she was doing. I gave them my authority to discuss me and between them they have established that my sciatic pain probably comes from hamstrings, glutes and other muscle groups in my thighs and legs which are either overstrained and knotted or just not responding. They worked together to create a rehabilitaion programme along with manual therapy by Joe to release and activate muscles which had long ago switched off. As a result I experience sciatic pain much less frequently, I can walk further and have a wonderful ache in my bum which seems to indicate that my inactive nerves and muscles have woken up and are beginning to deliver their design intent!

Interestingly, at no time did any of the highly paid specialists mentioned above suggest that my sciatic pain could be caused by soft tissue problems. In fact, before I started working with Joe, I was losing hope that I would ever get back to being pain free again.

Joe – you are a complete star!! I would highly recommend regular treatments with Joe if you want to be pain free!

Byron- Shoulder and elbow pain

For years I have suffered with shoulder and elbow problems that have affected both my fitness training and day to day life. I've tried everything imaginable to fix it, from mri's to diagnose the issue to physio and endless amounts of sports massages to try and fix the problem. I even took over 8 months off doing any form of pushing movement as the pain was just too much.

This has been going on for over 4 years and it had reached the point I had accepted it to be something I would always have to deal with and work around.

After my partner went to see Kelly and came home saying she is a miracle worker, I thought I'd go see her. Honestly, I didn't expect anything amazing to happen as all sports massages had done in the past was provide temporary relief.

After 2 sessions I can actually lift without elbow pain, my shoulder is feeling better than ever and it's not hurting when lying down at certain angles trying to sleep.

I genuinely can't recommend Kelly highly enough. Not only is she incredibly friendly and welcoming, she obviously is extremely knowledgeable at capable at what she is doing, and going forward she is the only person I'd go to.
